Move & Groove Mondays with Jess Reino. If you love Friday Fitness with Jess, you will love Move & Groove Monday.. We warm up and then get moving to some fun medium tempo music from your favorite artists. We work on building strength using light weights as well as balance and coordination. All movements can be done seated in a chair or standing. Every class ends with a cool down, stretches and a smile. Class starts at 10 AM. $5 per class or purchase an exercise card (10 classes for $30) Lunch
The Tosh Collins Center is host to the Erie County Stay Fit Dining Program. A hot lunch will be served from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, with a suggest donation of $3 for seniors over 60 and $5 for everyone else. Taylor takes creative control of the group and eventually pushes the singers into the spotlight. However, one becomes the star, forcing another out, which teaches them about the high cost of fame. February 10th– Classic Comedy Hour– The Jeffersons(1975) Starts at 1:30pm after Trivia- "We're moving on up, to the East Side, to a deee-luxe apartment in the sky ... ." This spinoff from "All in the Family" is about literal upward mobility - African- American couple George and Louise Jefferson move into a swanky high-rise building. George is an obstreperous, often rude guy who thinks his wealth should get him anywhere he wants to go. His wife is more levelheaded and often cuts him down to size when his schemes go awry. Starring Sherman Hemsley & Isabel Sanford. February 17th– NO MOVIE– CENTER CLOSED– PRESIDENTS’ DAY February 24th– American Fiction (2023) Monk is a frustrated novelist who's fed up with the establishment that profits from Black entertainment that relies on tired and offensive tropes. To prove his point, he uses a pen name to write an outlandish Black book of his own, a book that propels him to the heart of hypocrisy and the madness he claims to disdain. Starring Jeffrey Wright, Issa Rae, Sterling K. Brown & Tracee Ellis Ross. Academy Award for Best Writing (Adapted Screenplay)

BETTER BODY BALANCE Better Body Balance for Seniors is a specialized fitness class designed to enhance the physical and mental well-being of older adults by focusing on improving their balance, stability, and overall body strength. This class is tailored to meet the unique needs and abilities of seniors, helping them maintain an active and independent lifestyle. Each session starts with a gentle warm-up, including light stretching and breathing exercises to prepare the body and mind. Some balance drills and specific exercises will be offered to challenge and improve balance. Light weights, or bodyweight exercises will be used to build strength in the legs, core, and upper body. Stretching routines are incorporated to maintain or improve flexibility, aiding in mobility and preventing muscle stiffness. The class focuses on movements that mimic everyday activities, such as bending, reaching, and squatting, to enhance functional fitness. Silver Pride
PRIDE COMES TO TOSH COLLINS The South Buffalo Community Association is proud to partner with the Pride Center of Western New York to bring a great new monthly event to the Tosh Collins Center. The Silver Pride Project The Silver Pride Project is a Pride Center initiative that’s all about creating better conversations and improved social engagement with our older members of the LGBTQ+ community. By understanding people’s experiences we can facilitate greater social connectivity, improve social inclusion and evolve services to meet the needs of our LGBTQ+ elders. LGBTQ+ Seniors Coffee Hour Also known as the Silver Pride Coffee Hour, is an opportunity for LGBTQ+ seniors to come together and enjoy a morning of refreshments and conversation. Tosh Collins will begin hosting this monthly event on Friday June 10th from 10am-Noon and will meet the 2nd Friday of every month.

The Silver Pride Project is a Pride Center initiative that’s all about creating better conversations and improved social engagement with our older members of the LGBTQ+ community. By understanding people’s experiences we can facilitate greater social connectivity, improve social inclusion and evolve services to meet the needs of our LGBTQ+ elders.
LGBTQ+ Seniors Coffee Hour
Also known as the Silver Pride Coffee Hour, is an opportunity for LGBTQ+ seniors to come together and enjoy a morning of refreshments and conversation. Tosh Collins will begin hosting this monthly event on Friday June 10th from 10am-Noon and will meet the 2nd Friday of every month.

Jessie will guide you through this gentle chair yoga class that includes simple breath work, seated poses, standing poses using the chair for support and a guided relaxation at the end. Join us for Texas Hold Em’ Poker - Beginners are welcome. We will be using nickels to gamble with so don’t forget to bring in your nickels or bring in a couple dollars and we can give you change. The format is Sit & Go so participants can join and leave when needed. Max bet for a hand is 25 cents and we will be playing with one blind which will stay at 1 nickel. No need to RSVP!

Join us as we experience the Botanical Garden’s
outstanding Orchid Exhibition in a whole new light this winter!
We will be going on Thursday, February 27th and the
schedule is as follows:
4:30 PM Meet at Tosh Collins for dinner
5:30 PM Depart Tosh for Gardens
6:00 PM Arrive at Gardens and Tour Orchids
8:00 PM Depart Gardens for home
Dinner Menu– Greek Chicken Salad with grilled chicken breast, salad mix with shredded carrots, cherry
tomatoes, Greek dressing, dinner roll, strawberry ice cream, milk.
For this trip, we will not be chartering a bus. There will only be limited seats on Wayne’s bus for those who
cannot drive at night.
Cost– Garden Ticket $19, Dinner $3.50, Ride w/Wayne $5

Shake your groove thing with Jessie in this accessible fitness class. We will warm-up and get moving to some great music from all different decades. Routines are simple, easy to follow and lots of fun! All movements can be done seated in a chair or standing and are beginner friendly. Class starts at 10am. $5 per class or purchase an exercise card (10 classes for $30)
