Shake your groove thing with Jessie in this accessible fitness class. We will warm-up and get moving to some great music from all different decades. Routines are simple, easy to follow and lots of fun! All movements can be done seated in a chair or standing and are beginner friendly. Every Monday at 12:30pm (unless otherwise noted)! March 4th– The Book Club (2018)- Four friends' lives are turned upside down when their book club tackles the infamous "50 Shades of Grey." From discovering new romance to rekindling old flames, they inspire each other to make their next chapter the best chapter. Starring Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, and Mary Steenburgen. March 11th- Sister Act (1992)- When lively lounge singer Deloris Van Cartier sees her mobster beau, Vince LaRocca , commit murder, she is relocated for her protection. Set up in the guise of a nun in a California convent, Deloris proceeds to upend the quiet lives of the resident sisters. BETTER BODY BALANCE Better Body Balance for Seniors is a specialized fitness class designed to enhance the physical and mental well-being of older adults by focusing on improving their balance, stability, and overall body strength. This class is tailored to meet the unique needs and abilities of seniors, helping them maintain an active and independent lifestyle. Each session starts with a gentle warm-up, including light stretching and breathing exercises to prepare the body and mind. Some balance drills and specific exercises will be offered to challenge and improve balance. Light weights, or bodyweight exercises will be used to build strength in the legs, core, and upper body. Stretching routines are incorporated to maintain or improve flexibility, aiding in mobility and preventing muscle stiffness. The class focuses on movements that mimic everyday activities, such as bending, reaching, and squatting, to enhance functional fitness. Silver Pride
PRIDE COMES TO TOSH COLLINS The South Buffalo Community Association is proud to partner with the Pride Center of Western New York to bring a great new monthly event to the Tosh Collins Center. The Silver Pride Project The Silver Pride Project is a Pride Center initiative that’s all about creating better conversations and improved social engagement with our older members of the LGBTQ+ community. By understanding people’s experiences we can facilitate greater social connectivity, improve social inclusion and evolve services to meet the needs of our LGBTQ+ elders. LGBTQ+ Seniors Coffee Hour Also known as the Silver Pride Coffee Hour, is an opportunity for LGBTQ+ seniors to come together and enjoy a morning of refreshments and conversation. Tosh Collins will begin hosting this monthly event on Friday June 10th from 10am-Noon and will meet the 2nd Friday of every month.

You Are Cordially Invited to a Spring Break Pizza Party Join us Tuesday March 19th for our annual Spring Break Pizza Party! Wear your best Hawaiian shirts and grass skirts, and be prepared to get lei’d on spring break! We will have a selection of pizzas and chicken wings to pick from for lunch. The bar will be open with a variety of virgin cocktails. There will be tropical treats and delicious desserts aplenty. And of course we will have a special Spring Break BINGO after lunch. Better Body Balance for Seniors is a specialized fitness class designed to enhance the physical and mental well-being of older adults by focusing on improving their balance, stability, and overall body strength. This class is tailored to meet the unique needs and abilities of seniors, helping them maintain an active and independent lifestyle.
Each session starts with a gentle warm-up, including light stretching and breathing exercises to prepare the body and mind. Some balance drills and specific exercises will be offered to challenge and improve balance. Light weights, or bodyweight exercises will be used to build strength in the legs, core, and upper body. Stretching routines are incorporated to maintain or improve flexibility, aiding in mobility and preventing muscle stiffness.
The class focuses on movements that mimic everyday activities, such as bending, reaching, and squatting, to enhance functional fitness. Each session concludes with a cool-down segment to gradually lower heart rate and prevent muscle soreness.

The Silver Pride Project
The Silver Pride Project is a Pride Center initiative that’s all about creating better conversations and improved social engagement with our older members of the LGBTQ+ community. By understanding people’s experiences we can facilitate greater social connectivity, improve social inclusion and evolve services to meet the needs of our LGBTQ+ elders.
LGBTQ+ Seniors Coffee Hour
Also known as the Silver Pride Coffee Hour, is an opportunity for LGBTQ+ seniors to come together and enjoy a morning of refreshments and conversation. Tosh Collins will begin hosting this monthly event on Friday June 10th from 10am-Noon and will meet the 2nd Friday of every month.

Join us Tuesday March 19th for our annual Spring Break Pizza Party! Wear your best Hawaiian shirts and grass skirts, and be prepared to get lei’d on spring break! We will have a selection of pizzas and chicken wings to pick from for lunch. The bar will be open with a variety of virgin cocktails. There will be tropical treats and delicious desserts aplenty. And of course we will have a special Spring Break BINGO after lunch.
The cost is $10 and we will be limiting registration to 70 members.

Our popular series of computer classes for older adults returns for a spring semester with Brendan Chella from the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library. Starting February 21st, class moves to Wednesdays for the semester, from 1pm to 3pm, with Brendan offering technical assistance from 3pm to 4 pm.
Register with Kim at 822-4532 x0 and come early for lunch for a donation of $3.
Laptop computers are available to sign-out for use in the Center during Center hours..

Join us for Texas Hold Em’ Poker - Beginners are welcome. We will be using nickels to gamble with so don’t forget to bring in your nickels or bring in a couple dollars and we can give you change. The format is Sit & Go so participants can join and leave when needed. Max bet for a hand is 25 cents and we will be playing with one blind which will stay at 1 nickel. No need to RSVP!

Move & Groove Mondays with Jess Reino. If you love Friday Fitness with Jess, you will love Move & Groove Monday.. We warm up and then get moving to some fun medium tempo music from your favorite artists. We work on building strength using light weights as well as balance and coordination. All movements can be done seated in a chair or standing. Every class ends with a cool down, stretches and a smile. A hot lunch will be served from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, with a suggest donation of $3 for seniors over 60 and $5 for everyone else. Due to popular demand, another exciting card game is coming to Tosh Collins! Join us for nickels (otherwise known as Nickel Nickel) on Monday afternoons. For those unfamiliar with the game, Nickels is similar to Rummy, with the twist of betting nickels. So bring in your nickel collection and come join us for another thrilling card games experience! The first game will be held on March 6, no reservations necessary.

BETTER BODY BALANCE
Better Body Balance for Seniors is a specialized fitness class designed to enhance the physical and mental well-being of older adults by focusing on improving their balance, stability, and overall body strength. This class is tailored to meet the unique needs and abilities of seniors, helping them maintain an active and independent lifestyle.
Each session starts with a gentle warm-up, including light stretching and breathing exercises to prepare the body and mind. Some balance drills and specific exercises will be offered to challenge and improve balance. Light weights, or bodyweight exercises will be used to build strength in the legs, core, and upper body. Stretching routines are incorporated to maintain or improve flexibility, aiding in mobility and preventing muscle stiffness.
The class focuses on movements that mimic everyday activities, such as bending, reaching, and squatting, to enhance functional fitness. Each session concludes with a cool-down segment to gradually lower heart rate and prevent muscle soreness.
