The format is Sit & Go so participants can join and leave when needed. Max bet for a hand is 25 cents and we will be playing with one blind which will stay at 1 nickel. No need to RSVP!

In this beginner friendly  diamond art class, learn to create colorful mosaic-style art by applying resin rhinestones “diamonds” to a pre-painted, pre-glued design. A mini project will be done in class, all materials provided. Taught by master diamond artist Polly Tobin and her diamond apprentices Rose, Gail & Jeff!

    Looking for a quieter practice?  This class is for you. you will be guided through some gentle, chair based movement focused on connecting the breath and the body.  This will be followed by a short guided relaxation and Jessie will finish the class by guiding you through a themed meditation.  This practice can help ease anxiety and stress.  Increase focus, positive feelings and improve overall mood.     Due to popular demand, another exciting card game is coming to Tosh Collins! Join us for nickels (otherwise known as Nickel Nickel) on Monday afternoons. For those unfamiliar with the game, Nickels is similar to Rummy, with the twist of betting nickels. So bring in your nickel collection and come join us for another thrilling card games experience! The first game will be held on March 6, no reservations necessary.

    BETTER BODY BALANCE


    Better Body Balance for Seniors is a specialized fitness class designed to enhance the physical and mental well-being of older adults by focusing on improving their balance, stability, and overall body strength. This class is tailored to meet the unique needs and abilities of seniors, helping them maintain an active and independent lifestyle. 


    Each session starts with a gentle warm-up, including light stretching and breathing exercises to prepare the body and mind. Some balance drills and specific exercises will be offered to challenge and improve balance. Light weights, or bodyweight exercises will be used to build strength in the legs, core, and upper body. Stretching routines are incorporated to maintain or improve flexibility, aiding in mobility and preventing muscle stiffness. 


    The class focuses on movements that mimic everyday activities, such as bending, reaching, and squatting, to enhance functional fitness. Each session concludes with a cool-down segment to gradually lower heart rate and prevent muscle soreness.

    The South Buffalo Community Association is proud to partner with the Pride Center of Western New York to bring a great new monthly event to the Tosh Collins Center.


    The Silver Pride Project


    The Silver Pride Project is a Pride Center initiative that’s all about creating better conversations and improved social engagement with our older members of the LGBTQ+ community. By understanding people’s experiences we can facilitate greater social connectivity, improve social inclusion and evolve services to meet the needs of our LGBTQ+ elders.


    LGBTQ+ Seniors Coffee Hour


    Also known as the Silver Pride Coffee Hour, is an opportunity for LGBTQ+ seniors to come together and enjoy a morning of refreshments and conversation. Tosh Collins will begin hosting this monthly event on Friday June 10th from 10am-Noon and will meet the 2nd Friday of every month.

    BETTER BODY BALANCE


    Better Body Balance for Seniors is a specialized fitness class designed to enhance the physical and mental well-being of older adults by focusing on improving their balance, stability, and overall body strength. This class is tailored to meet the unique needs and abilities of seniors, helping them maintain an active and independent lifestyle. 


    Each session starts with a gentle warm-up, including light stretching and breathing exercises to prepare the body and mind. Some balance drills and specific exercises will be offered to challenge and improve balance. Light weights, or bodyweight exercises will be used to build strength in the legs, core, and upper body. Stretching routines are incorporated to maintain or improve flexibility, aiding in mobility and preventing muscle stiffness. 


    The class focuses on movements that mimic everyday activities, such as bending, reaching, and squatting, to enhance functional fitness. Each session concludes with a cool-down segment to gradually lower heart rate and prevent muscle soreness.

    Shake your groove thing with Jessie in this accessible fitness class.  We will warm-up and get moving to some great music from all different decades.  Routines are simple, easy to follow and lots of fun!  All movements can be done seated in a chair or standing and are beginner friendly. Class starts at 10am. $5 per class or purchase an exercise card (10 classes for $30)
