The South Buffalo Community Association is seeking to hire a part-time Care Aide (Chore Worker). The Care Aide helps low-income seniors throughout the City of Buffalo and surrounding suburbs with basic essential tasks that are critical to keeping their independence.
The Care Aide provides assistance on an ongoing basis to help with specific tasks in the home. Those tasks include: vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, floor mopping, laundry, bed linen changing, refrigerator (outside), stove/oven (outside), microwave, dishwashing, sink, toilet, and bathtub/shower. Other duties as assigned.
Desired skills: strong communication skills, dependability, attention to detail, ability to fill out necessary paperwork, basic computer literacy.
No previous work experience necessary but previous relevant experience desired. Must have a High School diploma or GED. Must have a valid drivers license and dependable vehicle. Candidate must pass a mandatory background check and drug test before a final offer of employment is made.
Job Type: Part-time (12-30 hours a week)
Salary: $16.00 per hour
