Monday Movie Matinee- September

National Hispanic Heritage Month begins in September and this month’s movies celebrate the contributions of Hispanic Americans to history & culture.

September 4th– CLOSED FOR LABOR DAY

September 11th– Selena (1997) The true story of Selena, a Texas-born Tejano singer who rose from cult status to performing at the Astrodome, as well as having chart-topping albums on the Latin music charts. Starring Jennifer Lopez & Edward James Olmos.

September 18th– Father of the Bride (2022) Reimagining of the classic 1950 & 1991 films starring Andy Garcia & Gloria Estefan about a father's coming to grips with his daughter's upcoming wedding through the prism of multiple relationships within a big, sprawling Cuban-American clan.

September 25th– Disney’s Encanto (2021)-a multigenerational Colombian family led by a matriarch whose children and grandchildren—except for Mirabel Madrigal—receive magical gifts from a miracle that helps them serve the people in their rural community called the Encanto. When Mirabel learns that the family is losing their magic, she sets out to find out what is happening, and save her family and their magical house.
